Being a native German technical translator with a university degree in translation (Diplom-Übersetzer) for the languages German, English and Russian from the University of the Saarland, Germany, I have been offering my translation and proofreading services since 1996. 

After working for six years as an in-house translator and translation team lead in two different localisation companies in Dublin, Ireland, I decided to set up my own business and become a freelance translator in 2001 and eventually made Granada (Spain) my new home.

Since then I have built up a comprehensive portfolio of returning clients which includes companies and translation agencies all across Europe and in China. I am also a volunteer translator for not-for-profit organisations the likes of Translators without Borders and Greenpeace.

While my main speciality is Information Technology, I am also focussing on the subject areas of environmental protection and renewable energies. Currently I am working on the compilation of a comprehensive terminology database covering key terms of environmental protection and sustainability which will be available soon.

With Trados Studio I use the latest translation technology to ensure fast, precise and terminologically consistent translations. This should not be confused with machine translation or automated online translation engines like Google Translate – manual human translation is still the best translation there is!
